Outstanding Volunteerism Award

The Outstanding Volunteerism Award recognizes individuals who have contributed outstanding volunteer services towards the success of the Product Stewardship Society.

Nominees must be a member in good standing of the Product Stewardship Society, but not a current member of the Board of Directors. The Nominations are submitted to the Nomination Committee for review and Board Approval. This can be awarded to multiple individuals and is presented at the Annual Meeting.

Distinguished Achievement Award

Originally created in 2018 as The Allan K. Fleeger Distinguished Service Award, this accolade was established to recognize the invaluable contributions made by a product steward in supporting the growth and success of the Product Stewardship Society. In 2025, the award was rebranded to its current name.

The Distinguished Achievement Award celebrates the exceptional contributions of individuals who have significantly advanced the product stewardship profession. Their work not only supports the mission of the Product Stewardship Society but also leaves a lasting impact on the next generation of product stewards. Through their achievements, they exemplify the highest standards of professional excellence.

Recipients of the award are selected based on their achievements in one of the following categories:

1. Exceptional service to the Product Stewardship Society.

2. Notable achievement in the field of product stewardship.

3. Significant contributions to the education, mentoring, or collaborations that advance the next generation of product stewards.

Nominees must be a member in good standing of the Product Stewardship Society, but not a current member of the Board of Directors. The Nominations are submitted to the Nomination Committee for review and Board Approval. This award may be given to one person per year but may not necessarily be awarded each year. This award is presented at the Annual Meeting.
