FALLS CHURCH, Va. (March 14, 2018) — The Product Stewardship Society is pleased to announce its flagship publication Professional Practices of Product Stewardship. This book will serve as the top resource for product stewardship and define what it is to be a product steward. Product Stewardship is an evolving and expanding area of concern and opportunity for companies and society. There are an ever-increasing number of individuals with “Product Stewardship” in their title and responsibilities within the organizations they support. However, there has not been a concise reference of professional practices for this highly important responsibility in maintaining an organization’s “license to operate” with the public.
“This book has been a long time coming,” said Adam Seery, CAE, Senior Manager, of the Product Stewardship Society. “It was originally announced over 2 years ago and is the culmination of a lot of hard work by dozens of volunteers. We could not be more thrilled to share this with our members and the profession.”
This publication provides deep insight into the core areas of product stewardship. It covers the fundamentals of product stewardship, product risk management, product life cycle management, and management of product compliance and liability. As well as product stewardship strategy and program management and offers guidance and support to both those new to product stewardship and those who have been involved for many years.
The Professional Practices of Product Stewardship can be ordered from the Product Stewardship Society’s website: www.productstewards.org.
