PSX 2020 Goes Virtual

FALLS CHURCH, Va. (May 27, 2020) — The Product Stewardship Society is announcing its decision to convert PSX 2020 to a virtual setting.

PSX 2020, formerly known as the Product Stewardship Conference, was originally scheduled to take place in Houston, Texas, from September 15–17, 2020. Due to continued social distancing protocols enforced against the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference will now occur entirely online.

“Nothing is more important than the health and safety of our attendees, partner companies, and employees,” said Bethany Chirico, CMP, CAE, the managing director of global meetings and business development for the Product Stewardship Society. “As we have monitored the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided that hosting a virtual conference is in the best interest of everyone’s health and safety. The online format will still deliver the quality content and networking experience which product stewardship professionals have come to expect at PSX,” she added.

The virtual conference will offer the full range of educational sessions focused on topics relevant to product stewardship professionals, including chemicals management, EPA risk evaluations, regulatory landscape, product sustainability, and more. The Virtual Exchange will also feature PSX partner companies who specialize in products and services tailored to product stewardship professionals and their work. Equally important, the cost of attendee registration for PSX has been significantly reduced, so that individuals whose organizations have had to cut their professional development budgets may still attend.

“PSX is known for hosting a variety of education topics and for presenting extensive resources for all product stewards, whether they are at the beginning of their career or are seasoned professionals,” said Adam Seery, CAE, the director of the Product Stewardship Society. “This year’s conference won’t be different in that respect. The virtual platform will allow attendees to participate in the conference, interact with speakers, visit virtual partner booths, and network with colleagues and peers,” continued Seery.
